Information:

Judy joined UrbanPromise in March 2010 and officially stepped into the role of Executive Director on April 1, 2010. Judy is excited about the future concerning the impact of positive leadership on the children of the Lower mainland. She sees an incredible need beyond the boundaries of our current influence and is looking forward to expanding our territory and refining our effectiveness as we move forward.

Judy began her career as a teacher, but later went back to school to study interior design. She became an award winning designer and builder, operating her own company, JD Design, before leaving the business world behind to enter ministry. She worked as the Executive Director of Women Today with Campus Crusade for several years, and then launched a new ministry called Kairos International. Among other things, Kairos helped to construct and equip an HIV/AIDS clinic in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and has planted a local community church there. Prior to joining the UP Vancouver team, Judy worked with the UP Honduras team to help them to launch their ministry.

Judy has lived all her life in BC. She is married to Chris and together they have a blended family of four children and six grandchildren. The loves of her life are her family, particularly her grandchildren at this stage of life. Her spare moments are spent gardening, scrapbooking and quilting.
