Natalie started with UrbanPromise May 2010. She grew up in Tsawwassen, BC, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Leadership from Briercrest College in Saskatchewan. While at college she worked as Resident Dean in a high school dorm, a job that today holds many special memories for her.
Natalie has a heart for missions. She spent the previous six years working in youth ministry, in both BC and in Saskatchewan. She last worked as an assistant youth pastor in Tsawwassen. Natalie has travelled to Cuba, Sierra Leon, and Ukraine (twice) to do youth and children's programs. She has also worked with the poor and marginalized in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. It was on a spring break stay in the Downtown Eastside where Natalie first witnessed local need and felt challenged to do something about it. She hopes that working with UrbanPromise in Whalley will provide another outlet through which she can extend God’s love to the brokenhearted.
Natalie loves weekend road trips, snowboarding, coaching basketball and softball, traveling, and photography. She takes great pride in her steadily growing movie collection.
