AfterSchool Program

From September to May, our programs are focused on providing elementary aged children with a fun, safe and inviting place to come after school. Whether parents are at work, at school or just in need of additional support, their children are welcomed into our programs and given a place to succeed, belong and make new friends.

Our AfterSchool Programs begin with students either being picked up by our staff at local schools or dropped off at our program. While in our care, students receive a healthy snack, time to play, help with their homework, support for their spiritual growth and opportunities to learn new things. They build friendships with their peers and are mentored by youth (StreetLeaders) from their own community. Our programs offer a variety of special events - from Spelling Bees to Spring Break Camp! Each site also has events and trips that are unique to their own site throughout the year.

We have three AfterSchool Programs in Greater Vancouver - two in East Vancouver (Peace & Grace), and one in the Whalley area of Surrey (Hope). We work with children from many different schools, with a variety of cultural backgrounds and varying spoken languages.
