Urban Promise

Our Summer Day Camps are six weeks of intense energy and fun! From 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM everyday, elementary aged children are welcomed into one of our three sites for an exciting day filled with fun activities.

Each day begins with an Opening Program, full of songs and silly skits. After a healthy snack, the children participate in different classes: Bible, Art, Discovery, Cooking & Reading. Then it's off to the park for a giant game of kickball or some time on the playground. Lunch, which is provided (except on Field Trip days when children bring their own) is served after returning from the park. After lunch, it is time for Afternoon Options (children choose from a variety of activiies such as hockey, soccer, dance and drama), Quest Clubs (small group time) and Closing Program.

Field Trip Days happen once a week and take place throughout the Lower Mainland. Field Trips may include a day at a local pool, the beach, A Rocha, WaterMania, an outdoor water park, etc. Each summer all of the children participate in the UrbanPromise Carnival and Sports Day, which take place at Trout Lake (John Hendry Park), as well as our annual visit to SplashDown Water Park.

We have three Summer Day Camps in Greater Vancouver - two in East Vancouver (Peace & Grace) and one in the Whalley area of Surrey (Hope).

We've wrapped up another summer of amazing programs! Thanks to all the kids, youth and staff that made this summer so memorable. We are already looking forward to next summer.
