The Volunteer program seeks to match the Volunteer’s gifts, passions and time commitment with activities at our programs. Volunteering with UrbanPromise gives individuals the opportunity to support their community, develop relationships with children and enhance their practical skills. UrbanPromise volunteers are adults in our local urban neighbourhoods that come from diverse backgrounds. Some are college students gaining practical skills related to teaching, social work, counseling, physical education, and much more. Some are parents and neighbours seeking to share of their gifts of cooking, musical knowledge, enjoyment of science, excitement of acting, and a passion for the arts with the children in our under-resourced neighbourhoods.
