Urban Promise

Camp Hope is full of energetic children, from a diverse group of families, located in the heart of Whalley.

We serve families who are refugees from Sudan, immigrants from China and families who have been in Canada for several generations. We range in families who need care for their children due to both parents working to families who need people who are fluent in English to help their child(ren) with their homework.

At Camp Hope we try to provide an environment that encourages holistic growth. We want children to learn skills that will be transferable to school, home and their communities. We want children to consider their purpose, learn about their identity as a child of God, and learn what it means to follow Christ in their everyday lives.

We want children to dream and to learn how to turn those dreams into reality. We want children to grow up to feel like they want to "give back." We want to give children opportunities to make healthy choices for the long term. We want children to build long lasting friendships with each other, staff, StreetLeaders and interns.
