Come

Every day our programs, as well as our children & youth, are enriched by the time and attention given to them by the men and women who volunteer in our programs. Whether they drive a van, help with homework, make posters for special events, coach hockey, teach clowning or commit to serve for a year as an intern, our volunteers are vital members of our team. They allow us to provide a higher quality of care in our programs and they offer new opportunities for the children and youth as they share their gifts and talents.

If you are excited about the vision of UrbanPromise and want to know that you are making a difference in the lives of children and youth in the city, we encourage you to check out one of the ways you can get involved.

Interns: Interns are young adults (age 18-25) who commit for a summer, a year or sometimes even just a couple of months. They work full time in our programs and participate in a missional experience that includes community living, leadership development and support for spiritual growth.

Volunteers: Adult volunteers of all ages are welcome, and needed, in our programs.

WorkGroups: WorkGroups are existing teams of individuals that join our ministry for a day, a weekend or a week. They not only participate in our programs, but also help in the "behind the scenes" aspect of ministry while receiving training and experience in urban ministry.

StreetLeaders: Local teens (Grade 9-12) who volunteer as a part of our Leadership Development and Job Training Program. They serve in both our AfterSchool Programs and our Summer Day Camps and participate in all aspects of our program - both behind the scenes and with the children.
